Salt Rooms, Designed for Calm, Controlled Halotherapy
A salt room should feel like stepping into stillness: soft light, quiet air, and fine, dry salt carried evenly through the space. Aqua Spazio designs and installs salt rooms and halotherapy spaces in which a halogenerator does the real work, dispersing finely milled, pharmaceutical-grade salt into a room built and ventilated to hold it.

Our salt therapy installations
-
Salt rooms and caves: Himalayan salt brick walls, backlit salt panels and salt floors, seating from two to twenty.
-
Halotherapy booths: compact single- or two-person cabins for homes, clinics and gyms with limited space.
-
Salt relaxation lounges: zero-gravity loungers, low lighting and quiet sound, as a calm space within a spa circuit.
-
Salt walls: backlit Himalayan salt features for relaxation rooms, treatment rooms and pool halls.
-
Salt saunas: Himalayan salt panels built into a sauna for a warm, glowing finish.
Why the engineering matters
Salt walls look beautiful, but on their own they don't deliver halotherapy. Dry salt aerosol has to be generated, dosed and contained, and a poorly built room lets salt drift into corridors, damage metal fittings and leave a film on surfaces. We design every salt room with:
-
A halogenerator sized to the room volume, with adjustable dosing and session timers
-
Dedicated ventilation that clears the room between sessions and keeps salt out of the rest of the building
-
Humidity control, because dry salt needs dry air to stay airborne and stop clumping
-
Corrosion-resistant fixings, lighting and electrics throughout
-
Sealed doors and finishes that are easy to clean
Home and commercial salt rooms
At home, a salt room or booth can sit beside a sauna, in a basement wellness suite or in a garden building. For spas, hotels, clinics and wellness centres, we design commercial salt rooms with the seating capacity, air management, cleaning regime and session control that daily use requires.
Frequently asked questions
What is halotherapy?
Halotherapy means spending time in a room where a halogenerator releases very fine, dry salt particles into the air. Sessions usually last 30–45 minutes, and most people use them as a quiet, restful break.
Is a salt wall enough on its own?
No. Salt bricks create the atmosphere, but the halogenerator is what puts salt into the air. We design both together.
How much space do I need?
A booth fits into roughly 2 m². A home salt room works well from about 6–8 m², and commercial rooms are sized to how many people use them at once.
Will salt spread through the house?
Not with the right design. Sealed construction, dedicated extract and a sensible layout keep the salt where it belongs.
