Cold Plunge Pools, Engineered for Clean, Consistent Cold

A cold plunge only works if the water is reliably cold and genuinely clean. Aqua Spazio designs and installs built-in and freestanding cold plunge pools that hold a set temperature, typically between 3°C and 12°C, with filtration and water treatment designed for how often they're used.

Our cold therapy installations

  • Built-in plunge pools: tiled, stone or stainless steel, set into the floor or raised, indoors or outdoors.

  • Freestanding plunge tubs: for gardens, gyms and spaces where building in isn't practical.

  • Twin plunges: two pools at different temperatures, so beginners and regulars can both use the space.

  • Ice fountains and drench buckets: a quick, intense cold hit after the sauna or steam room.

  • Experience showers: cold mist, rain and bucket showers as part of a hot–cold circuit.

Why the engineering matters

People step into a plunge straight from the sauna, so the water sees a high bather load for its small volume. That means it needs more than a chiller. We design every plunge with:

  • A correctly sized chiller to hold temperature, even with repeated use

  • Filtration with a short turnover, sized for real usage

  • UV and residual disinfection, following PWTAG guidance for commercial installations

  • Insulated construction and covers to reduce running costs

  • Safe access: steps, handrails and slip-resistant surrounds

Home and commercial plunges

At home, a plunge can sit beside a sauna, in a pool hall or in the garden. For gyms, hotels and wellness centres, we design commercial-grade plunges with the water treatment, testing regime and safety features that daily public use demands.

Frequently asked questions

How cold should a plunge pool be?

Most people use 3–12°C. Twin plunges at, say, 4°C and 10°C let users choose. We set the chiller to suit how the space will be used.

How is the water kept clean?

Through continuous filtration, UV and a residual disinfectant, with the system sized for bather load rather than just volume.

Can a cold plunge go outside?

Yes. Outdoor plunges need insulation, a cover, a weatherproof chiller location and a power supply.

What does it cost to run?

Running cost depends on insulation, cover use, chiller efficiency and how warm the surroundings are. We design to keep it low.
